Brief description:
This research develops a predictive multiscale simulation framework to better understand and model impact-induced failure in fibre-reinforced composites. By capturing key damage mechanisms across multiple length scales and integrating advanced computational and data-driven techniques, the study aims to improve the accuracy and efficiency of impact performance predictions. The outcomes will support the design of safer, more reliable composite structures for high-performance engineering applications such as aerospace, automotive, and defence.
