FTMD ITB Strengthens Synergy in Health Technology Development with Bundamedik and the Indonesian Ministry of Health
BANDUNG, ftmd.itb.ac.id, Friday, May 8, 2026 – The Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (FTMD) at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) welcomed a delegation from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, RSHS, and Bundamedik at the FTMD ITB Seminar Room. This meeting served as an initial discussion regarding collaboration opportunities in the development and utilization of health technology.
The event was attended by various representatives from the Indonesian Ministry of Health and Bundamedik, as well as faculty members and researchers from FTMD ITB, including Dean Prof. Dr. Ir. Hermawan Judawisastra, M.Eng.; Rianto Adhy Sasongko, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D.; Prof. Dr. Ing. Sandro Mihradi, IPM.; Dr. Eng. Gea Fardias Mumin, S.T., M.T.; Ir. Indrawanto, M.Eng., Ph.D.; Ir. Vani Virdyawan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D.; Ditho Ardiansyah Pulungan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D.; Dr. Eng. Ir. Ferryanto, S.T, M.T.; Dr. Budi Heryadi, S.T., M.T.; and Dr. Eng. Ir. Firman Bagja Juangsa, S.T., M.Eng.
During the meeting, both parties discussed the potential for accelerating the development of health technology through collaboration between educational institutions, industry, and the healthcare service sector. The discussion also highlighted the importance of strengthening joint research and opportunities for innovations that could have a broader impact on society.
Furthermore, they explored opportunities for technological advancement and long-term partnerships involving multiple stakeholders. FTMD ITB welcomed this collaborative initiative as part of its efforts to foster technology development that focuses not only on research but also on tangible implementation within the healthcare sector.
This visit marks an initial step in reinforcing the synergy between academia, industry, and healthcare services to support the advancement of health technology innovation in Indonesia. Moving forward, this collaboration is expected to unlock wider research and development opportunities while strengthening the contribution of higher education in providing relevant and impactful technological solutions for the community.
