Bandung – The Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Institut Teknologi Bandung (FTMD ITB) welcomed a visit from PT Langit Biru Parasut at the FTMD ITB Seminar Room on Wednesday (8/7/2026). This meeting discussed collaboration opportunities in the development of international parachute competitions as well as exploring cooperation in the fields of parachute system technology and aerospace engineering.

The delegation from PT Langit Biru Parasut was led by Aprinovita, S.E. as President Director, accompanied by Juliana Theresia (Finance Director), Maswood Schah (Vice President & Representative Director of the North American Branch), Chris J. Nils (Business Development Consultant), and Suhendy Sumargo. Meanwhile, FTMD ITB was represented by Dr. Eng. Gea Fardias Mu’min, S.T., M.T.; Dr. Eng. Ir. Ferryanto, S.T., M.T.; Dr. Ing. Moch Agoes Moelyadi, S.T., M.Sc.; Dr. Ir. Yazdi Ibrahim Jenie, S.T., M.T.; Muhamad Luthfi Imam Nurhakim, S.T., M.T.; and Ir. Vani Virdyawan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D.

One of the main agendas of the meeting was the discussion regarding PT Langit Biru Parasut’s plan to participate in an international parachute competition. On this occasion, PT Langit Biru Parasut expressed its hope to involve FTMD ITB students as part of the team representing the company and Indonesia in the event. This collaboration is expected to provide a platform for students to apply their academic competencies to real-world engineering challenges on a global stage.

In addition to preparing for the competition, both parties also discussed broader cooperation opportunities, including the development of parachute system technology, academic mentorship, knowledge exchange, and the potential utilization of FTMD ITB’s laboratory facilities to support research and development activities.

This meeting marks an initial step in exploring cooperation between FTMD ITB and PT Langit Biru Parasut. Moving forward, the collaboration is expected to not only support the enhancement of student achievements in international forums but also strengthen the synergy between academia and industry in developing aerospace technology in Indonesia.
