FTMD ITB Encourages Students to Go International with Various Student Exchange Programs
The rapid development of science and technology has significantly impacted every aspect of society, particularly in the fields of information and communication technology. As national, cultural, and ethnic boundaries become increasingly blurred due to technological advancements, Indonesia finds opportunities to contribute globally to civilization.
FTMD ITB is embracing this change by launching three student exchange programs designed to develop high-achieving students with excellent academic abilities and cross-cultural adaptability.
Semester Exchange Abroad (SEA) – Regular
This program allows ITB students to spend one or two semesters at ITB’s partner universities abroad. Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students, participants can earn academic credits recognized by ITB and have the opportunity to conduct research or complete their final projects.
SEA – GE3
Specifically for students wishing to study at partner universities within the Global Engineering Education Exchange (GE3) network. ITB is the only university in Indonesia that is a member of the GE3 network, providing access to student exchanges under this scheme.
Indonesian International Students Mobility Awards (IISMA)
This scholarship from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia offers undergraduate students the chance to study for one semester at a partner university within the IISMA program.
Interested students can choose up to five universities as their exchange program destinations. The selection process is conducted in two stages: faculty selection and selection by the ITB Partnership Bureau (International Relations Office ITB). To facilitate registration, the FTMD ITB International Class team will assist through the selection and preparation stages, including sharing sessions for students.
