Bandung – Students from the Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Institut Teknologi Bandung (FTMD ITB), secured numerous awards at the annual Mechanical & Marine Engineering National Exposition (MMENE) 2024, hosted by Universitas Indonesia (UI) from August to October 2024. 

With the overarching theme “Save Energy, Save Lives,” MMENE 2024 focused on developing eco-friendly technologies to support the national carbon emission reduction goals. The competition featured four categories: aircraft innovation, marine innovation, automotive innovation, and energy case study.

The competition began with abstract submissions for the respective categories, followed by the announcement of finalists. Finalists then attended mentoring sessions that culminated in final presentations and submissions at Universitas Indonesia’s campus. Teams presented their concepts to a panel of judges consisting of academics and industry practitioners. Winners were announced on October 24-25.

This achievement is the result of hard work and unwavering determination to overcome various challenges. Despite the competition amidst a busy academic schedule, the students completed it through effective time management and support from multiple parties.
