Bandung – Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) once again hosted the ITB Open House 2025 from Friday to Sunday, January 3-5, 2025. This hybrid event took place at Sasana Budaya Ganesa (Sabuga) as the main venue, with online streaming available via YouTube.

The event served as an interactive platform for prospective students and the general public to gain deeper insights into education at ITB. Participants had the opportunity to explore various Faculties and Schools within ITB while gaining inspiration to shape a brighter future.

FTMD ITB actively participated by hosting a talk show titled Introduction to FTMD. The session featured experienced speakers, including Dr.Eng. Ir. Ferryanto, ST., MT., Dr. Afdhal ST. MT., and Dr. Ekavianty Prajatelistia, PhD, who provided a comprehensive overview of FTMD. Attendees learned about the fields of study covered, available programs, learning experiences, international exposure, student capacity, and other exciting information.

In addition to the talk show, prospective students had the chance to interact directly with FTMD lecturers and students at the FTMD booth throughout the event. This interaction allowed participants to gain more detailed and in-depth information.

As part of the event series, FTMD ITB also organized hands-on workshops, supported by the ITB Mechanical Engineering Student Association (HMM ITB), the Aerospace Engineering Student Association (KMPN ITB), and the Materials Engineering Student Association (MTM ITB). These workshops were designed to provide a real-life glimpse into the learning experience of an FTMD student.

One of the workshops that drew significant attention was the session organized by MTM ITB on Saturday, January 4, 2025, titled “What is Material?”. In this session, participants were introduced to the fundamentals of materials science and even had the opportunity to conduct a simple experiment in composite fabrication. Through this activity, attendees were expected to gain a practical understanding of Material Engineering applications.

Another exciting workshop was organized by KMPN ITB under the theme “Flying with Aerospace Engineering.” Participants were invited to create and fly simple paper airplanes. Through this activity, they learned the fundamentals of aerodynamics and gained an understanding of how airplanes work in a fun and engaging way.

In addition, HMM ITB held a workshop that provided a firsthand glimpse into the learning experience in Mechanical Engineering at ITB. Through this session, participants were given a deeper insight into the challenges and opportunities they would face as Mechanical Engineering students.

ITB Education Open House 2025 is an event not to be missed. With a variety of engaging and informative activities, participants not only gained new knowledge but also experienced the learning atmosphere at one of the best universities in Indonesia.
