To carry out the three pillars of higher education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi), the Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (FMAE) ITB is now opening services for testing in several laboratories. This service is intended for public purposes, both for ITB academics and non-ITB academics, as well as for industrial or general research purposes.

The types of testing services provided by the FTMD are as follows:

• Ultraviolet-visible Spectroscopy (UV-Vis)
• Fourier-transform Infra-red Spectroscopy (FTIR)
• Metallography
• Microvickers Hardness test
• Rockwell Hardness test
• Tensile test using Instron 5985 machine
• Mechanical Testing (Tension Test, Bending Test, Compression Test) using the Tensilon machine

How do I access this service?

Customers can access this testing service by confirming the type of test needed, then filling out the test form at the following link:

After getting confirmation from the FMAE administrator, the customer needs to submit a sample to the operator for testing. The test results can be sent directly to customers who are FMAE (undergraduate and postgraduate) students. For other customers, the results will be sent after payment.

The test fee will be calculated further and informed during testing, according to the testing requested by the customer. Payment for services can be made by transfer to:
