Brief description:
Vehicles are currently assessed with crash test dummies to ensure that they are safe. Crash test dummies extract injury severities and also have no organs. Collisions however still occur leading to injuries. Tools and methods to extract injury severity in head, thorax and abdomen soft tissues require more investigation, as currently only probabilistic injuries are extracted. The aim is to create a computation framework to calculate the Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) on all soft tissues for occupants (rear and front seated, in frontal collision).
