Bandung – Enhancing the capabilities of Human Resources (HR) represents a long-term investment with positive implications for innovation, productivity, competitiveness, and the growth of a company. This forms the foundation of the Double-Degree Master Cooperation Program between the Ministry of Transportation and the Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (FMA EITB). This collaborative master’s program serves as FMAE’s commitment to the industrial sector, addressing their demand for a workforce equipped with specialized skills, analytical proficiency, and adept problem-solving abilities.

On Monday, July 3, 2023, FMAE, in collaboration with the Ministry of Transportation’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation, conducted the opening ceremony of the Third Batch of the Double-Degree Master Cooperation Program of the Ministry of Transportation. This event served as both the inaugural gathering for students and the official commencement of the collaborative program’s academic sessions.

Following an extensive and rigorous selection process, six outstanding employees from the Ministry of Transportation’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation have been chosen to participate in the Third Batch of the Double-Degree Master Scholarship Program in collaboration with FTMD and the École nationale de l’aviation civile (ENAC). ENAC serves as the international university partner supporting this double-degree collaboration program.

For the upcoming weeks, commencing on July 3, 2023, these students will receive a matriculation period before commencing their academic studies in August 2023.

During the opening ceremony yesterday, the Dean of FMAE, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tatacipta Dirgantara, delivered his speech and appreciated this program as one of the wise steps taken by the Ministry of Transportation in human resource development. He affirmed his support, stating that the program will yield outstanding human resources as an essential asset for the nation’s development.

Prof. Tatacipta also emphasized the importance for students to cultivate relationships, acquire knowledge, and embrace new cultures both during their tenure at FTMD and later during their academic pursuits at ENAC, France. He hopes that such experiences will aid students in personal growth and development, ultimately contributing positively to future enterprises.

“Happy learning and happy interaction to all students of the Double-Degree Master Cooperation Program at the Ministry of Transportation,” he concluded.

Wahyu Hapsoro, a representative from the Center for Human Resources Development of Transportation Apparatus (PPSDMAP), also delivered a virtual address during the opening event via the Zoom Clouds Meeting application. In his remarks, he expressed hope that this program will cultivate exceptional human resources capable of formulating better policies and practical innovations for the nation’s future interests.

He also reminded the students to make good use of this opportunity, considering that not all employees at the Ministry of Transportation have the same opportunity.

With the implementation of this cooperative program, it is anticipated that the capacity and capabilities of human resources within the Ministry of Transportation, particularly in the field of air transportation, will be enhanced.

Congratulations and best of luck to the students of the Double-Degree Master Cooperation Program with the Ministry of Transportation. May they successfully complete this program and bring significant benefits to the nation and the country.
