FTMD ITB Welcomes PT Nusantara Turbin dan Propulsi, Discussing Educational and Talent Development Collaboration Opportunities
Bandung – The Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (FTMD) at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) received an audience visit from PT Nusantara Turbin dan Propulsi (PT NTP) on Tuesday (August 4, 2026) to explore collaboration opportunities in education, research, human resource development, and technological innovation. This meeting serves as an initial step toward strengthening synergy between academia and industry in supporting national technology development.
The meeting was chaired by Ir. Rianto Adhy Sasongko, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. and attended by FTMD ITB representatives, namely Prof. Ir. Hari Muhammad, Ph.D.; Dr. Annisa Jusuf, S.T., M.T.; Ir. Satrio Wicaksono, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D.; Dr. Riza Wirawan, M.T.; Dr. Firman Hartono, S.T., M.T.; and Abdul Hakim Masyhur, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. Meanwhile, PT NTP was represented by President Director Ir. Suryanto alongside members of the company’s executive management.
During the meeting, both parties discussed various collaboration opportunities that could be developed, ranging from human resource capacity building and educational development to research activities relevant to industry needs. PT NTP also conveyed its commitment to supporting employee competency development through higher education advancement as part of the company’s human capital strengthening strategy
Furthermore, discussions touched upon opportunities for FTMD ITB’s involvement in supporting technological innovation development through academic and research collaboration. Both institutions also exchanged views on potential cooperation in various strategic sectors that could be jointly developed through synergies between higher education and industry.
Talent development was a key focus during the audience. FTMD ITB and PT NTP explored opportunities for organizing practical training, internships, and graduate recruitment, while also discussing the importance of introducing PT NTP’s company profile and career opportunities to students. This initiative is expected to provide broader access for FTMD ITB students to gain industrial experience while preparing them for the workforce.
Through this meeting, FTMD ITB and PT Nusantara Turbin dan Propulsi agreed to maintain ongoing communication to formulate a more concrete cooperation scheme. The collaboration is expected to encompass educational activities, research, technology development, and human resource strengthening, thereby benefiting both institutions while supporting the advancement of national industry.
