Bandung – The Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (FTMD) at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) welcomed a visit from Hyundai Motor Indonesia for a vehicle donation ceremony and the signing of a collaborative partnership in education and research. The event took place on Friday, May 22, 2026, at the Seminar Room on the second floor of Labtek II, FTMD ITB.

The Hyundai delegation was led by Rita Nurmala as the Head of the HRGA Department, accompanied by Natalia Vier Femina as the Head of the General Affairs & Employer Branding Section, HRGA Senior Specialists Anggraini and Yordi Filsa, Assistant Manager of Fleet Sales Lucky Zulkarnain, and Ade Sri Oktavia as the PIC for the Hyundai Jump Scholarship.

The delegation was warmly received by FTMD ITB representatives, including Vice Dean for Resources Rianto Adhy Sasongko, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., alongside Dr. Eng. Ir. Ferryanto, S.T., M.T., Ir. Poetro Lebdo Sambegoro, M.Sc., Ph.D., Dr. Eng. Ir. Gea Fardias Mu’min, S.T., M.T., and Dr. Eng. Ir. Firman Bagja Juangsa, S.T., M.Eng. The event was also attended by FTMD ITB students who are recipients of the Hyundai Jump Scholarship.

During the event, Hyundai officially handed over an electric vehicle, the IONIQ 5 N, to FTMD ITB to support research and development activities in electric vehicle technology within the campus environment and industries.

In addition to the vehicle donation ceremony, both parties discussed opportunities for further collaboration, including student internship programs and partnerships in developing the electric vehicle ecosystem and the future automotive industry.

The presence of the Hyundai IONIQ 5 N at FTMD ITB is expected to serve as a vital asset for learning and research, particularly in the advancement of electric vehicle technology, energy systems, and sustainable transportation innovations.

Through this collaboration, FTMD ITB continues to bridge the gap between academia and industry to enrich students’ learning experiences while driving technological developments that align with future demands.
