23 FTMD ITB Academic Community Members Receive Service Awards and Satyalancana Karya Satya on the 81st Indonesian Independence Day
Jatinangor – A total of 11 faculty lecturers and 12 administrative staff members from the Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (FTMD) at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) received awards for their service and dedication in supporting ITB’s progress. The awards were presented as part of the 81st Independence Day Commemoration Ceremony of the Republic of Indonesia held at the ITB Jatinangor Campus on Monday (August 17, 2026).
The ceremony was led by ITB Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Tatacipta Dirgantara, M.T. as the Ceremony Inspector. In his address, the Rector highlighted the vital role higher education institutions play in carrying forward the ideals of independence through education, research, innovation, and technological development.
“University leaders, professors, lecturers, researchers, administrative staff, and students each have distinct roles in shaping the nation’s future through education, research, service, and various works that benefit society,” stated Prof. Tata.
This message resonated with the presentation of awards to members of the ITB academic community who have served over various lengths of tenure. The awards served as an expression of appreciation for their dedication and contributions toward supporting educational implementation and ITB’s overall development.
FTMD Academic Community Award Recipients
Among the hundreds of award recipients, members of the Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (FTMD) ITB community—comprising 11 lecturers and 12 administrative staff—were recognized for their service and dedication.

Appreciation for Dedication
In total, ITB presented awards to 530 individuals during the 81st Indonesian Independence Day celebrations. A total of 478 people received the Satyalancana Karya Satya Honor Medal, while 52 individuals received the ITB Long Service Award.
For FTMD, the recognition bestowed upon its faculty members and staff serves as a tribute to their enduring commitment to supporting education, research, technological development, and various academic endeavors within the faculty.
