SOUTH TANGERANG, ftmd.itb.ac.id – The Mechanical Engineering Alumni Association (Ikatan Alumni Mesin – IAM) Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) organized the IAM ITB Charity Golf 2026 under the theme “The Swing Revival” at Damai Indah Golf – BSD Course on Sunday (November 1, 2026). Beyond serving as a gathering for ITB alumni across generations and majors, the event demonstrated alumni dedication to their alma mater through the symbolic presentation of an IDR 150 million donation dedicated to the development of the Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (FTMD) ITB.

The event brought together alumni alongside professional partners and industry leaders, supported by key corporate sponsors including MIND ID, Pertamina Patra Niaga, Yokogawa, Kwarsa Hexagon, Astra Nippon Gasket Indonesia, and various other partners.

Representing the Dean of FTMD ITB, Dr.Eng. Firman Bagja Juangsa, faculty member and Head of RIEM2TB FTMD ITB, symbolically received the donation and delivered remarks. In his address, he outlined ITB’s transformation trajectory toward becoming a 4th Generation University with the goal of entering the global top 150 in university rankings by 2030.

This donation from IAM directly aligns with the program launched by FTMD ITB and the Solidarity Forever Foundation (Yayasan Solidarity Forever – YSF) on October 19, 2026. The program focuses on reinforcing the research ecosystem, cultivating postgraduate talent through master’s and doctoral scholarships, and expanding academic-industrial collaborations.

Dr. Eng. Firman also introduced the FTMD Endowment Fund, which is managed at the university level with utilization authority granted to FTMD. Currently, the FTMD endowment fund stands as the fourth largest within ITB. Because the principal remains preserved while yield generated is utilized sustainably, every alumni contribution yields benefits across generations.

Through the IAM ITB Charity Golf 2026, the synergy between FTMD ITB and its alumni network was reaffirmed. Driven by the spirit of Solidarity Forever, this collaboration is expected to endure and propel FTMD ITB and ITB toward world-class status.
