GARUT, ftmd.itb.ac.id – Faculty member of the Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (FTMD) Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Ir. Yuli Setyo Indartono, S.T., M.T., achieved the 1st Best Participant title in the TRL Assessor Training for Research Outputs & Results. The activity formed part of the Workshop on Mapping Innovation Potential and Technology Readiness Levels toward Downstream & Industrial Commercialization, organized by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) on October 9–10, 2026, in Garut, West Java.

This training constitutes an effort to enhance human resource capacity in evaluating research and technology development outcomes. Such assessments are required to determine the extent to which research outputs have attained readiness for further development and user deployment.

Technology Readiness Level (TRL) is a systematic metric used to assess the maturity level of a particular technology, spanning from basic research stages to operational readiness. This evaluation assists in identifying development potential and the readiness of research outputs for adoption by industry and society.

Yuli Setyo Indartono’s recognition as 1st Best Participant represents an appreciation of his active participation in TRL assessor capacity-building activities. This achievement aligns with the vital importance of academic involvement in mapping innovation potential and reinforcing the connection between research endeavors and real-world technology implementation.

Through this achievement, FTMD ITB continues to encourage the strengthening of academic community competencies in research development and evaluation. It is expected that the contributions of FTMD ITB faculty members will support the emergence of innovations that extend beyond academic environments to deliver broader benefits for industry and society.
