45th Anniversary Grand Reunion: M’81 Donates IDR 100 Million to FTMD ITB
BANDUNG, ftmd.itb.ac.id – The 45th Anniversary Grand Reunion of the ITB Class of 1981 gave alumni a meaningful opportunity to reconnect with their alma mater while contributing to institutional development. The event took place on Saturday (October 3, 2026) at the ITB West Hall, ITB Ganesha Campus.
Following the main program at the West Hall, the Mechanical Engineering’81 alumni continued their agenda at 1:00 PM WIB by visiting the Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (FTMD) ITB in Lecture Room 4101, Labtek II, Ganesha Campus. The visit allowed alumni to reunite with the FTMD academic community and reminisce about their educational journey at ITB.
The alumni were warmly received by Prof. Dr. Ir. Hermawan Judawisastra, M.Eng., Dean of FTMD ITB. In his welcoming remarks, the Dean expressed deep appreciation for the enduring bond maintained between alumni and their alma mater, as well as the generous support provided by the Mechanical Engineering’81 Alumni to FTMD ITB.
Also present were FTMD ITB faculty members who are alumni of Mechanical Engineering’81, namely Ir. Indrawanto, M.Eng., Ph.D., and Prof. Dr. Ir. Leonardo Gunawan, S.T. Together with fellow alumni, they participated in the gathering held in a warm, familial atmosphere.
As part of the reunion program, the Mechanical Engineering ’81 Alumni presented a donation of IDR 100,000,000 to FTMD ITB. The contribution was formally handed over by Tri Yuswidjajanto, Coordinator of the M’81–ITB Reunion, to Prof. Dr. Ir. Hermawan Judawisastra, M.Eng., Dean of FTMD ITB.
The donation signifies the alumni’s ongoing dedication and commitment to supporting their alma mater. This contribution reflects the collective spirit of the Mechanical Engineering’81 Alumni to maintain strong ties with FTMD ITB and actively contribute to the faculty’s ongoing growth.
The event concluded with a social gathering and a photo session featuring alumni, faculty members, and FTMD ITB representatives. The gathering served as a vital moment to reaffirm bonds and preserve the connection between the Mechanical Engineering’81 Alumni and the institution that has been an integral part of their journey for 45 years.
Through their 45th Anniversary Grand Reunion, the ITB Mechanical Engineering’81 Alumni demonstrated that ties with the alma mater can endure and generate meaningful cross-generational contributions. Alumni support and dedication are expected to remain an essential driver in strengthening FTMD ITB moving forward.
